Replacing wiper blades is an easy DIY job and they are inexpensive, but they should be replaced at least once a year, if not more often depending on how much driving you do. Replacing your worn-out windshield wipers is an easy way to make sure you are safe on the roads during inclement weather. Now you’re ready to install your new Rain-X Latitude Wiper Blade! If there are any small gaps between the blades and their corresponding arms, then twist them around until they’re lined up correctly. The blade should be snug against the wiper arm with no gaps. Make sure that it’s straight, and press it firmly into place. Now that the wiper blade is free, you can slide it onto the wiper arm shoulder. Slide the wiper blade onto the wiper arm shoulder. If it doesn’t go in easily, try again until you get a good snap from the two parts snapping together. Make sure that you have a good, solid connection. Line up the new wiper arm with the wiper blade and press to attach.Line up the new wiper arm with the wiper blade and press to attach. You should not use petroleum-based lubricants because they can damage rubber seals on windshield wipers, making them less effective at removing moisture from your windshield when it rains or snows heavily during winter months (which is why many people choose to install rain wiper blades during this time). Spray a silicone lubricant onto the pivot joints and arm of your new blade assembly in order to help reduce noise and prevent water from getting trapped inside after installation. Before you begin, remove the old blade from your car and lay it down on a flat surface so that the bottom of the blade is facing up.Lubricate the wiper arm and pivot joints. If you have difficulty getting the wiper off of its arm, use the screwdriver as leverage by gently wedging it under one side of the blade and then pulling it off from there-this should loosen things up enough for you to pull them off with your hands.Make sure not to jostle or bump anything else while doing this, as you may damage something.
